The first Porsche 911 sports car for the road with a hybrid drive is in the starting blocks.
Following an extensive development and testing programme, the first Porsche 911 sports car for the road with a hybrid drive is in the starting blocks: The new Porsche 911 Carrera GTS models offer even more power and driving dynamics. Its new 3.0-litre, six-cylinder boxer engine with two VTG turbochargers delivers 480 PS (353 kW) – 30 PS (22 kW) more than the Carrera S and Carrera 4S models. The maximum torque of 570 Nm is available between 2,300 and 5,000 rpm.
For the new 911 Carrera GTS models, Porsche engineers used knowledge gained from motor racing as the basis for designing the hybrid. The result is a highly efficient and powerful drive system that offers a unique combination of performance and fuel economy. The new 911 Carrera GTS models are available with a seven-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission.
The new 911 Carrera GTS models are also equipped with a range of features that enhance their driving dynamics. These include the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system, which adjusts the damping force of the shock absorbers continuously to suit the road conditions and driving style. The Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) system improves cornering stability and traction by applying brake pressure to the inside rear wheel when cornering. The Porsche Stability Management (PSM) system helps to keep the car on course, even in challenging driving conditions.
The new 911 Carrera GTS models are a perfect blend of performance, efficiency, and driving dynamics. They offer drivers an unforgettable driving experience, whether on the road or on the track.
