Hugh Freeze, the former head coach of the Ole Miss Rebels, was officially introduced as the new head football coach of the Auburn Tigers on Tuesday, November 29th, 2022. The press conference was held at the Woltosz Football Performance Center and streamed live on YouTube.

Triumphant Return

Freeze, who was fired by Ole Miss in 2017 for NCAA violations, expressed his excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to coach at Auburn. He stated that he had learned from his past mistakes and was committed to building a winning program with integrity and accountability.

Athletic Director John Cohen welcomed Freeze to Auburn, praising his coaching acumen and leadership abilities. Cohen expressed confidence that Freeze would lead the Tigers to success on and off the field.
